Honoring Laurie's Legacy 💛

We carry this mission forward with love — bringing hope, care, and beauty to those who need it most. ❤️

Through The Reflower Project, we strive to create moments of connection and comfort, transforming flowers once meant for celebration into meaningful gestures that remind others they are seen, valued, and cared for. Our purpose is not only to lift spirits but also to nurture a more compassionate and sustainable world, one bloom at a time.

This work holds deep personal meaning and continues in loving memory of my sister, Laurie. A true admirer of yellow roses, heartfelt conversations, and visits from family and friends, Laurie had a gift for finding beauty in small moments. Living with Cystic Fibrosis and spending many years as a patient at Boston Children's Hospital, she knew firsthand the joy flowers could bring — how their color, fragrance, and presence could transform a space and brighten even the hardest days.

Every bouquet we share is a reflection of her light — a tribute to her strength, kindness, and the comfort she inspired in others. Through each flower repurposed and every smile sparked, we honor Laurie’s legacy and continue her spirit of love and hope. 💛

Hi, I’m April — a health professional and MPH student who believes in the power of kindness, connection, and nature to heal. I started The Reflower Project in 2015 after seeing firsthand how something as simple as a flower can lift a person’s spirit. As a healthcare professional, I’ve witnessed how small acts of beauty and care can brighten someone’s day — especially for those going through challenging times.

I’ve always loved flowers — their colors, fragrance, and the way they instantly bring joy. I especially love seeing couples celebrate their love surrounded by beautiful blooms and then choose to share that love by donating their flowers for others to enjoy. There’s something so meaningful about giving those flowers a second life, where they continue to bring happiness and comfort to people in the community.

My love for nature, sustainability, and the environment has always been a big part of who I am. Creating The Reflower Project allowed me to blend those passions — reducing waste, nurturing connection, and spreading beauty where it’s needed most. What began as a small effort to share leftover blooms has grown into a heartfelt mission to bring comfort, hope, and joy while caring for our planet at the same time.

Every bouquet tells a story — one of gratitude, renewal, and love. 💐
